The road to recovery
When you get blow'd up good, it's not likely you're going to come back anytime soon doing laps around the track, even if you did somehow cheat death and then find transport off a hostile planet and safe harbor in what looks like an Earthen hospital.
But, you know, that Moon Weasel is nothing if not wily and tenacious, as today's comic proves.
We're deep into our Summer Comics Series, deep like the meat juices at the bottom of a large pita (tofu dribbles if you're vegan). As PJ has alluded to in the past, we're talking about some site changes to make actiongravy.com a little easier for us to update, which will lead to a steady stream of four- (or three-) panel funnies in good times and in bad.
We welcome your comments and suggestions -- do you want only regularly updated comics or are you seeking mechandise, crossovers and other Web extranea? I know there's like three of you reading regularly; tell us what you think, you three.

Well, since you asked, One of Three will respond! (God I sound like a star trek character, just label me a tertiary abjunct and be done with it). I really like the site, and I don't have specific changes, just questions that I've wondered about, such as why is it that when I go to archived comics I have to scroll through the archived blogs to find the newspost that went with the comic. (Yes sometimes I scroll through the archives to find some of my favorites. Yes I like to read the posts that were linked to the comics. No, I don't know why.) So, my question is kinda silly, but as one-of-three, do you think you could at least tell me why it was designed that way, or you can just tell me I'm stupid and I have small, feeble questions and I'll go away...

Well, I can field this question because I handled the site design. That's something that really bugs us too, Bis, and it's one of the major reasons we want to make changes. The site isn't running on php, which would make it a lot easier on you guys to find stuff on our site. It would also make it easier for us from an organizational standpoint and make the update process smoother. To answer your question though, this stuff wasn't done when creating the site because I really was only concerned with aesthetics of the design at the time (over a year ago) and didn't really know anything about how to work with php or really even css for that matter. Because of that, most of the design you see on here as of right now is imagemaps I designed in photoshop and stuck into tables using above average knowledge of html. The newsposts are obviously done through Blogger which made it hard to link posts with comics because it's an entirely separate entity. So...yeah. This is all stuff that we hope to change to make it easier on you guys as well as us, and make for a much happier monkey experience. We still have some logistics to work out, but we would like to get this all done some time this summer. Thanks for the question. Are there any other things you'd like to see?
Oh yeah, and that archive page for the comics has got to go. It's gotten too big (can you believe we've almost done 80 comics??) and takes forever to load. We'll probably switch to a drop down menu or something and add a search feature.
Thanks PJ! Now I'm really looking forward to your site overhaul. And, I heartily concur, the Archives page is a bit unwieldy now. But if what you've told about the new design, any of my feeble user issues will all be dealt with. Thanks!
