Cold Slaaaa Part II

See, I told you we were doing the continuity thing. It might even run a little bit longer than originally planned. Also, it would appear we've had our first bit of nudity in that final panel. Naughty us.

I'm gonna keep this short.

I hope everyone had a good holiday. You guys are doing awesome on the voting. We've made it almost to 150 in the rankings on BuzzComix in only half a month. If you didn't vote this weekend, you missed out on a wallpaper of Moon which I'm quite proud of.

Be back here on Wednesday for your next helping of Cold Slaaaa.

That is all.

Friday bonus

Well, I woke up late today on account of all the turkey yesterday. Also, I didn't anticipate having so much trouble getting the Buzzcomix vote page to do what I wanted it to do. So this means that if you tried voting today and didn't get the bonus, I'm leaving it up all weekend so you can get it at some point. That's my bad, y'all. Have a good weekend and we'll see you back here Monday.

Cold Slaaaa Part I

We have made our first venture into the uncharted territories of continuity today. We're anticipating four parts. I don't really know what you'll do with that information, but I just thought I should keep you abreast.....and maybe abutt.

We've always maintained quasi continuity, maybe just through tiny visual references to previous strips (a la the scientist's brain and hook), but Omar and I agreed that this story necessitated a true story arc. This idea of Bobbo's home planet has been with us since we came up with the idea for Space Monkeys!. It's exciting to finally be drawing it.

I don't need to remind you guys to vote so I won't. HA! Friday there should be a surprise up for those of you who vote. Other than that, see you guys Monday. Have a safe holiday.

Don't think we forgot

Today's comic is on its way.

The Calling

The mysterious Action Gravy has returned once again for another episode of deliciousness.

Today's strip is Thanksgiving themed because if we adhered to our normal Monday/Friday updating schedule, this would've been the last comic before the holiday. However, it would appear we're going to be changing things up.

We're going to change to a Monday/Wednesday updating schedule. We figured you guys are more likely to stop by mid-week than on Fridays when everyone's trying their damndest to duck out of offices and schools early to begin the weekend. This doesn't mean we're leaving you guys high and dry like Thom Yorke at the end of the week. Those incentives for reprezentin' at BuzzComix we've been talking about are being moved over to Fridays. This week there should be an exclusive wallpaper to sweeten the deal.

So, keep votin'. You guys are doing great!

Dreams Come True

I think it's very funny that I should sleep in on a day that I have to draw a comic about sleep. I apologize for the tardiness. Hopefully it was worth the wait. I like to think of this comic as the alternate ending of Requiem for a Dream.

Next week I think we're going to try out a new system in regards to the voting on BuzzComix. We're going to adhere to the normal schedule of Monday/Friday updating, but we'd like for you guys to vote for us during the week. So that means if you guys come back and do some serious voting for us on Tuesday, we'll give you guys a little something special that can only be seen if you come back to vote on Wednesday. Same goes for Thursday. So keep up the voting. We've already ascended to 269 in our first few days. Thanks!

Whups!

Today's comic will be posted later this afternoon. Check back!

Evolutionary Developments

Meany seems to have noticed something that we have known all along. "Arrested Development" is levels above all other television sitcoms out right now. It just seems to keep getting better and better. Just two episodes into the new season and I already want the second season DVD (I don't even have the first season DVD yet).

You may have noticed the eerie Uncle Sam Meany handing out orders above the newsposts. That signifies our joining of BuzzComix. We just joined last night so we don't have all the details worked out on how we're going to coax votes out of you fine folks, but for now, we'd very much appreciate some votes from our loyal readers. The rules are that you can only vote once a day, and you can't direct link to our vote off-site. So make sure you bring all your friends to this page for voting. If you guys make us proud, I might just have a little surprise up my sleeves.

Rocket Envy

Well, there you have it. Meany has the bigger rocket. But don't worry, Bobbo fans. I think we all know who knows how to use his right.

Rude Awakening

Oh, that crazy Moon. As Bobbo learned, sometimes Moon makes such little sense that he really makes a lot of sense. Wait...that doesn't make sense.

Meany might've seen the light as well if he weren't such a tough customer when he's in his pajamas. There would have to be bananas in those pajamas to persuade him to agree to even the most reasonable theorems and deductions so don't take his refusal as a knock on Moon's credibility.

If Moon tells you something is up, you better not be looking down.

Much love to the FellowWalken for the story.

An "A" in Snack Time

Blogger was being difficult this morning so that's why today's comic was a bit tardy. I actually finished the comic and had it posted very early, but I couldn't get it up on our "Latest" page. I also couldn't get a newspost up so that's why this is even later.

Lateness isn't entirely bad though. The day presented a nice, little nugget of comedy to put forth in yon newspost which would have otherwise been missed if the newspost had been on time.

After my parents saw today's comic, my dad tried engaging my mother and I in a conversation regarding the undertones of the parental situation presented in today's comic, which I thought was a bit superflous considering we were talking about a comic about space monkeys. After my dad explained his bit to my mom, I concluded it with: "And then the kid ate the teacher." To which my mother replied, "I didn't see that part!"

That raises an important question for you faithful readers out there. Are your fearless leaders in stellar monkey comics indeed comic geniuses? Or are we simply just our parents' children?

Heroes and villains

Rise up and hope, America!

We know it may seem like dark times and maybe your hopes have been dashed by national events. But in dark times, it's important to fight harder than ever, to question all that is around you and to stick it to the forces of evil.

We, humbly, offer a hero to help.

A New Era

Yes...a new era has been ushered in. One where we will update regularly. Uhh.......that's all I got.

OHIO!

I mean...FRIDAY!

Change of plans

A hectic weekend coupled with my computer being on life support led to no update on Monday. Hopefully, you guys are still around to see this post and find out that Monday's comic is being moved to Wednesday.

I have no idea what's up with my computer. Virus scans turned up nothing and now my Ad-aware doesn't want to update its definition files correctly. I hope I can get that all fixed tonight so I can do the comic the way I'm accustomed to, but if not I'll have to find some other way.

Somehow some way you'll have that comic on Wednesday morning.
